In its LAUNCH AND OFFICIAL PRESENTATION, the book “The Day the Statue of Caldas got off its Pedestal”, by the journalist and writer Sophia Rodríguez Pouget, was commented on by the renowned philosopher and semiotician ARMANDO SILVA PhD.

Among other aspects, as an expert in Contemporary Art, Silva commented: “With this work, Sophia Rodríguez Pouget also makes a contribution to art, and especially to public art, by generating a proposal that I place in contemporary art, because by the same days that the Misak indigenous community knocked down the Belalcázar statue, Sophia’s book came out, and in my column of El Tiempo I related those two events: that of knocking down a statue, with what she did, which was not demolishing but give life to a statue through his research, which concluded in Bogotá with a very visual and interesting synthesis that brought the wise man Caldas back to life “.
